Launch of the Caring for You Education Department

Attendees for our first Education Session
Dear Members,

What a milestone we have achieved this week! J

Our education department launched  and delivered our very first “Caring for You” educational sessions on 19th February 2015.

Firstly, I want to express my personal gratitude to the nurses who voluntarily participated with
such professionalism and enthusiasm.

I would also like to personally thank our special guest Louise Thomson for attending (C4U CEO).

It was a pleasure and an honour for Louise to participate with the day.

Our 3 hour education session covered 3 topics. These included, “Medications”, “Dealing with Difficult People” and also an introduction to “Dementia Dynamics Toolkit”.

Our members were able to interact professionally with each other and openly discuss nursing topics with support.

A very big thankyou to our member Riina for willingly playing the role of the nurse during a scenario whilst I myself played the role of a very difficult patient. Riina displayed outstanding negotiation nursing skills.

At the end of the day our nurses were provided with education booklets to take home for further reflection.

Our nurses also were given the opportunity to provide constructive feedback on the session.

Certificates of attendance were issued on the day and our nurses also  earned important CPD points.

I would like to warmly extend an invitation to all our members to email myself if they would like to attend a session or any upcoming ones. I can be contacted via laurenm@caringforyou.net.au

Currently we are in the process of compiling a list of dates and education topics and will keep you informed regarding the details.

Finally congratulations to the nurses who came on Thursday.
Caring for You are so lucky to have such wonderful caring professionals.
